Sheet Metal Technician
Description:
The responsibility of a sheet metal technician is to prepare and operate machinery used to shape sheet metal. If any hardware needs installed or if holes are required, they use documents such as blueprints to achieve precision. They inspect completed products for accuracy and report issues to a supervisor. Sheet metal technicians set up and construct sheet metal per customer request. Lifting, positioning, measuring, welding, and painting are all duties a sheet metal technician may be tasked with.
Typical Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least a year of working experience
